Scrambling of video with GeForce4 440 Go 64MB on Inspiron 8200

Hi Everyone, I've recently started experiencing some odd video scrambling and occasional system hangs with my laptop.  These problems seem to be strictly video hardware related, and started happening under both WinXP and Linux at approximately the same time (hence, I think I can rule out software issues).  I have my laptop configured to dual-boot. The particular glitches I'm getting result in some noise on the screen and the appearance of odd patterns.  Upon opening the computer, I've discovered that the plastic shield on top of the graphics card seems to be coming loose, and is somewhat creased.  I've run the computer with the keyboard removed, and it seems that any mechanical contact with the top of the plastic sheid (a very light stroke with the back of a plastic screwdriver, for example) will introduce the glitches.  This is particularly annoying because any significant deformation of the computer chassis (like raising a corner slightly or carrying the computer) or vigorous typing will also make the glitches appear. The laptop is about 1 year past the end of its warranty. Has anyone else encountered problems like these, and are there any suggestions for what I should do?  Is it possible to remove and re-glue the plastic shield?  Can I get a new plastic shield fitted to the card?  Can I get a replacement video card (ie: from Dell)? Thanks, Jonathan Merritt (Lancelet).

Replacement is the easy path casue everything is the same but works, but if you taring ur compy apart, get a radeon m-9 9000 to replace it as it will run todays newest games... Rabid...
