Latitude X300 - Bios Password

Question

Hi all, I just recently bought a used Latitude X300 Laptop. I have tried to install a new operating system on it, however, I'm having an issue booting into the BIOS menu. Is there anyway to reset the Bios Password so I can reconfigure some of the parameters? (I hope Im not out of luck here) I can not get the original password from the owner since his smart-neck does not remember it. Any help is greatly appreciated. (I hope i didnt sink in all this money into a dead laptop) Thanks in advance.

Get him to transfer ownship of the laptop to you and then contact Dell and ask them for the password.
