Just a thought. Try and unplug the monitor power cord from the wall and see if the usb resets.

I feel stupid now, thought I'd done that. Apparently not. Seems like shutting down with the power button isn't the same as pulling the plug. I guess everybody on this forum with monitor USB problems should try this. THANKS!
On second thought, it makes sense not to shut USB down when you just want to turn off the display.

We do get power outages in t-storms now and then, but the ups takes care of them, for both, computer and monitor. Thanks again!

Not a problem. My guess is that the USB circuit latched. Have you had a power outage recently?
By unplugging from the wall, it resets all circuits.

This worked for me to! The power service flashed off and on a few times the other night, that's when the usb hub stopped working. I thought maybe it got fried. In addition to unplugging the monitor I also had to reboot the PC. Thanks!
