I have the same problem with a D610 when trying to put the LCD monitor on top of the laptop's display in Extended Desktop.

99% of the times if not 100%, it goes back to the default setting (laptop left - monitor right) after reboot.

One way I found to work with having them the other way around (monitor left - laptop right), was to drag all my icons to the other screen including the taskbar (after you unlock it of course) and that setting stayed after consequent restarts.

I still have the problem with the screens on top of one another though, so I would really appreciate any advice, too!

Thanks

Souros

I have the same issue with my D620 (TFT on the right, notebook as secondary display on the left). The only difference is that the positions aren't switched with every reboot, but only when waking up from standby. I had no problems with my D600 in the same setup. Maybe a new video driver will remedy this. :-(

Greetings,

I'm also seeing this problem where despite setting the primary and secondary device up to meet my physical arrangement (laptop to the left of the monitor) whenever I redock and reboot it resets to the default arrangement (laptop to the right of the monitor).

Has anyone been able to resolve this issue with the D620 having problems with the arrangement of monitors when extending the desktop?  I had a D600 before and never had this kind of problem.

I'm using the Intel Graphics Media driver, details below.  I've also setup the same arrangement through the Windows Display Properties but it hasn't made a difference.  Is there some way of editing a .ini or registry setting to change the default arrangement?

Thanks,
John Wright
