The GeForce 5650 from the Latitude D800 and the ATI 9600 128M from the 8600 are the top cards for that chassis. You will need to do a modification to either of those to improve cooling and keep the system running (see below).
And just a note-IMO neither of those would be worth messing with. They're all around the same level of performance.
Hey, at least it's a trillion times better than Intel video :) I was surprised recently to learn that not only does my Geforce 4 run Quake 4, it actually runs it at better graphic settings than the X-Box 360 version (not that it's blazing fast, but it looked surprisingly nice and seemed playable).
