problem with touchpad on my insp b130... may be ac power related

ok heres the deal.... when i have my inspiron b130 powered via the battery the touchpad works fine. on the other hand when it is powered by the ac cord the touchpad refuses to work.....unless i hold the cord up with my left hand or unless i press into the back of the computer where the ac adapter plugs in. the moment i take my hands off it the touchpad acts up and basically my cursor won't move.   just sat on the line w/ a dell tech for an eternity to have them tell me the touch pad is loose.....i don't see how thats possible. i've had things like this short out on me. how hard is it to send me a replacement for that rather than having me send the entire notebook to them??   still on hold....   anyone out there agree w/  me???

i got 2 things   try a USB Mouse or might be a loose connection from the outlet to the A.C.A to the pc   i never use the touchpad i always use a wireless mouse

yeah the touchpad on the b130 seems really "touchy"

i did get a usb mouse and will use that most of the time.

when i use the touchpad it is really easy to inadvertently click on somethong or to highlight text on the screen...thats happened a lot. is this just a common thing w/ notebook touchpads? they seem really hard to get used to!
