Sure...we have seen this a million times.

You need to post this log in the HiJackThisForum for analysis.

Thanks indeed. I deleted the directory in safe mode and all is well. In advance of this, ewido removed some adware application that was also causing browser hi-jacking. Removing the intcodec directory finished the job.

I wish we could find the people who create such things and break some fingers.

1.) boot your computer into safe mode with DOS Promt, typically by holding down the F8 key during a reboot.

2.) Logon to you machine with an administrative account

3.) in DOS prompt, cd  c:\IntCodec

4.) del *.*

This will remove the pmmon.exe and the pmngr.exe and all the other little nasties.

I tried to delete that but I mustnt have it,when i tried to go to that folder it said not recognised. Ive tried everything to get rid of this pop up thing, ive tried what you said, ive tried adaware in safe mode and normal, ewido in both safe and normal mode, system restore but it just kept saying couldnt restore to that date.

I also tried soemthing Id read about posting a logfile to a site and it would analysis it tried that aswell, I still havent managed to get rid of this thing.

I do remember at some stage that i think i did install spysheriff so im presuming thats what it is ive read alot about that being a virus or coming with a lot of viruses.

If anyone could help id appreciate it a huge amount, im going mad with these pop ups!!
