i ordered a 2007WFP monday afternoon, but it shipped yesterday and is scheduled to arrive tomorrow (thursday 6/28) ... does that mean i'm going to receive a defective one? i sure hope not.
Actually my monitor has just shipped today (Jun 29). Previously it was scheduled to ship on July 3 (look at my posting above). I wonder what it means... I hope I will get the A02 revision...
Well, I got my tracking number this morning, and according to UPS, it seems to be ahead of schedule. I should be getting it later today. Here's hoping for that A02...
Well, mine showed up Friday. It's an A02, made in Mexico. It looks great. I'm having trouble getting the driver on my ME system with a Radeon 7500 to 1680x1050, but it seems to work fine at 1024x768. No dead pixels. I'm pretty happy.
I downloaded a new driver from ATI, but no luck with the 1680x1050 setting. Like I said, it looks great, so I think I'll just leave it alone.
hey casual, you should try using a 3rd party program like powerstrip to force your resolution ... i can't vouch for an ATI card since i have an nVidia, but there was an option in my drivers to add a custom resolution. i'm sure there is something similar in the ATI drivers, but since you're running ME, that could have something to do with it. :smileyvery-happy:
my 2007wfp was delivered june 29th and it was an A01 made in China ... nothing wrong with it as far as i can tell ... banding is practically non existant unless i look really hard on a gradient test, and no dead pixels.
I ordered mine last thursday I think, it shipped this morning.. I unplugged my 2005fpw and plugged this one in and IMMEDIATELY noticed that the text was blurry. How do I see what revision monitor this is? and have we seen a fix for this yet?
That dell guy was clearly wrong. Any semi-modern graphics card can run this monitor at its' native resolution. I'm running at 1680x1050 through my AGP Radeon 9800 Pro on its' DV I connection.
I just had an online chat with a dell hardware guy. Here's the bombshell: "only PCI express video cards can support that (1680x1050) resolution". Of course my 5 year old Dimension 4100 doesn't have a PCI express slot. Like I said, I'm pretty happy with it anyway, and it will look great on my next computer.
Final word on thread creep resolution discussion.....
ATI customer service informs me that Radeon All In Wonder 7500 does not support 1680x1050 resolution. 9600 series and higher do. Oh well, it still looks great at 1280x768.
Condolences to those that have to go through the exchange process.

I just ordered one (price dropped again) and my order says "pre production" with an estimated ship date of July 3. Sounds like I'll get the A02 also.
