first of all sonic 7.1 is not a card it's software on a cd.

????  what is that supposed to mean?  I got the disks in my possession seriously thinking of just giving them away :P

And let the flame wars commence :-P  Anyway Im telling you call Dell up and ask for them and if they say to pay for them then just go get Intervideo WinDVD 7

Call Dell and request the software thats the only way your going to get it without paying for it, I had to reinstall everything within hours of getting my e1505 and by the time they got me the software I had said stuff it and purchased Intervideo WinDVD 7 *shrug* figured why use the junk they gave me in the fist place and just purchased the best I could find :)

Kc, they will probably send you the drivers for the scaled down version for free.  The upgraded version (Possibly the 7.) was something you had to pay for when you ordered your PC.  If you paid for it - it came preinstalled on your system but you also got the discs.  I think it was around $40 (really not sure)

nope     it did come preinstalled BUT i received NO DISKS   not even one

Actually the upgrade was about $80.  Did you pay for that upgrade?
