2407FPW, Browsing the web, hard to tell different from bold/unbolded text

Question

I just got this yesterday, everything looks great so far, but I'm noticing that it's hard to differentiate between bold and unbolded text on some websites compared to my CRT. The appearance is almost as if the text is all bolded so when the text is bolded there appears to be no change. Any idea why this is happening? Resolution is 1280x1024, using XP Pro and I have tried turning cleartype on and off. Text is clear and perfectly fine in games and such.

Might be because you have the monitor res. set kinda low, really should be at 1920x1200. Also you might try changing the cleartype settings. You can do that here;

Thank you for the response. Currently i'm using gf 6600 with 1280x1024 resolution at 60hz. I'll give that a try.

well reinstalled windows that seems to have fixed it, not sure what was changed. i read somewhere there were bugs with cleartype fonts and ie7 beta, i imagine that was it
