Inspiron E1705: New system/clean install of XP, etc...

Question

Would someone mind walking me thru (IN THE PROPER ORDER) what to reinstall once I load a fresh copy of XP on my system when I get it?  I heard there was a certain sequence you had to do it in but I can't seem to find the information.   Thanks.   The specs of my system are as follows:   Intel core duo 1.83Ghz 1GB Ram (667Mhz) 17' WUXGA 256MB Nvidia 80GB SATA (7200 RPM) 8X DVD +-R/RW W/DL Intel Pro 3945 A/B/G Bluetooth (I'm assuming this is a Dell bluetooth and not Intel?  Dells site didn't say) 9 cell battery In the sound option I chose to pay the extra to get the SoundBlaster Audigy software solution...(I heard a rumor that when you install the drivers for the integrated sound card that you need to first install those, then the audigy drivers and then finally the audigy software.  Can anyone confirm this?) I got a bunch of other stuff too but nothing that needs installing (USB flash drive, carrying case, quicksnap cover that kinda stuff:)   I currently own a I6000 and I really researched my choices before I decided on another Dell.  I'm not extremely crazy about silver notebooks (color rubbing off after using it for a while) but for all the advanced hardware I got in this machine and the $750.00 coupon that I used, I only ended up paying just over $1,500.00 for all of it. OK not to insult your knowlege but I was told that you had to install the 'dell system software' before ANYTHING else.  I just want to double check, not doubting you but doesn't hurt to double check:)   Thanks.

sweet system. Start with the XP CD. Once XP is installed, install the chipset, notebook system software, video, audio, modem, network, touchpad and other drivers.
