I had the same thing happen. They charge your credit card $247 unitl they get your bad Monitor. Then, they remove the $247 once they have the defective monitor.
I don't think so, because from my interpretation of the post anyway, it's as if they have already been billed, and then will refund (or cancel the charge) the amount.
Kinda dodge if that's the case because they are effectively doing a transaction you have not authorised.
Everyone who got a replacement monitor has that in their account. Nobody has come come up complaining that their credit card has been charged. If you read the dell materials, it says if you dont return the monitor they will send you an invoice. And the invoice amount is probably that charge ppl see in their accounts. I doubt they charge your card, since they didnt get your authorization.
