I thought the 2007FPW = 2007WFP...

Oh well.

It says LM201W01

I got an AUDITED A02. It has no banding issues I can see.

Just so there's no confusion, you mean 2007 WFP right?

How to enter the service menu and see the panel information:

1. Turn off the monitor, hold 'menu ' and '+' buttons at the same time while turning it on.
2. After the power is on, let go of the 2 buttons and then press the '-' button.

LM201W01 is the LG.Philips S-IPS panel

well, yes - there is only one model, and it is 2007WFP, but people see references to FPW and think there is another model

No one seems to have answered your question.

Audited - I would assume - means that the display was sent back to dell & upgraded to A02 (or some of the others in stock were given the upgrade.

No - an analog imput should not be any where near that bad. Could need calibrating or setting in the osd. For instance 2407 it is advised to run on analog??? rather than dvi.

I Auto Adjusted my monitor, and it's much clearer.

I bought a NEW monitor, and don't know why I was sent a "used" one. It had fingerprints ALL OVER the screen. I'm getting a replacement.

Send it back - I would not be able to put up with - any - problems myself:/ If they can't get it right go elsewhere (I got a sammy  244t because of the problems of people on this site).

Just bad luck hummmm?

And since you have a source problem and were too quick to blame the monitor, you wasted a lot of time for nothing and the next one will do the same thing.

There's no source problem.

I have an ATI Radeon 9600XT. It's Quicktime PRO. I'm on 32-bit colour.

I don't see how those are bad.

Sweet! My replacement is coming from Nevada. Hopefully it won't be full of fingerprints.

There is a source problem. The dvd you're playing is not in a format with 32 bit color. There's banding in your screenshot because quick time is being given an image that has color bands in it.

You're right, there's nothing wrong with your video card or player... but trust me, there is a problem if you want to blame that banding on the monitor. It's got nothing to do with the monitor.

At least you might, hopefully, get one that is NOT 2nd. hand & totally void of fingerprints;)

Without these doubts in your mind you may be able to sort out the source problems;) ;)
