He means the 4:3 and 1:1 options work on anything lower than 1600x1200, so you could play 1280x1024 and turn 1:1 for example. Something I find unacceptable, which is why mine is going back for a 244T.
I just don't understand why the 1:1 option works fine for 1280*1024, 1024*768 and 800*600, and not for 1600*1200. What's the prob with 1600*1200? It should just be a full-res 1920*1200 screen with 160 pixel wide black bands on the left and right hand side.
It is also irritating that the monitor does not remember your preferred aspect ratio per screen res, but that is (in my mind) second to the 1600*1200 simply not working in 1:1 and being stretched all over the display.
I think all Dell needs to do is enable the 'Wide Mode' display setting in the monitor menu for 1600*1200, and then you can see 1600*1200 perfectly, pixel for pixel. FWIW, I'll try my bit to ask Dell to fix this or else send it back.

ATIAMD don't have the same scaling options as nVidia. I can suggest these options:yili

"Play on the next 4:3 res down"
What do you mean? (sorry i am rather dumb...)
The game I am playing, Warcraft 3, have only the following options:
- (low res)
- 1280x960 (ratio: 1.33)
- 1280x1024 (ratio: 1.25)
- 1600x1200 (ratio: 1.33)
My 2407wfp @ 1920x1200 (ratio: 1.6)
I couldn't find any lower resolution that has anything closer to the ratio of 1.6.
