Its an Inspiron 6000 - Chat? nice suggestion, but as if anyone in the corporate world can chat from work! And from home - well, my laptop was my only computer. Any other suggestions on how to get through to a technical support team that only seems to call during working hours in India rather than the US? I finally, after being disconnected, got through to tech support again. Only to be told, after absurdly insulting instruction like - try powering on your computer without the battery - that i would have to talk to a manager, who was busy on a call. I can't beleive this company had a reputation for good technical support at some point - which was half the reason I bought a Dell in the first place.

You should post your model number. Try using Chat to contact Dell again.

Go try another manufacturer for computers, and i'll bet you $50 that you have WORSE tech support than DELL

And why'd you post the whole Tech Chat for nobody to read?

Seriously, dont waste a bunch of space on a Support Forum for a bunch of garbage about talking with someone from DELL.

Simply ask us the question and cross reference it with the chat.
