Opinion needed - how much unused hard drive space

Question

Dimension 4300 XP Home 1.6 G Pentium 4 512 meg memory   I once saw something written somewhere about what is a good minimum amount (percentage) of free hard drive space to have to allow XP home to continue to run smoothly. This estimate of course was for a desktop pc with only one hard drive being utilized. I realize that it was just an estimate because alot depends on what programs and how many programs one is running. Is there such an estimate or does it rely more on how much memory is available? or both even?

Usually You should have around 20-25% Used Harddrive, and 75-80% Unused, and this is with quite a bit of programs and Apps installed. Good Luck
