The problem is that the card is "Draft N" which is not yet standardized.  Although it should be backward compatible with standard 802.11b/g wireless routers, there are many people reporting problems with it.   Even if you use a "Draft N" router, there is no single N standard, so it may or may not work.   My advice is to stay away from Draft N, Pre-N, etc. until there is a universally accepted N standard.

I have a 1505 inspirion with Draft 1500 wireless card and a Netgear WNR834B router. By all  indications everything is working fine, my connection speed is showing 120mps to 230 mps. The problem is the internet pages won't load or are very slow. Sometimes the txt will load but not pics. Does anyone have any suggestions. Dell support was unable to resolve this issu

I doný really have a clue technically, but from a problem solving approach, why not take the laptop to an
internet cafe or someplace with free Wifi and try it there? If things are better, then you can look at the
router as a compatability problem.

I have had a wireless network since 2003. The first router I used was the Pre-N from Belkin. It wokred well with all of the laptops and desktops I used, as well as with my Canon wireless printer. Very rarely had any problems with connectivity. Very pleased with it. This is with B and G wireless nics.

Just recently I have purchased a XPSM1210 (laptop) with draft-N technology. I also purchased the new Belkin Draft-N router. The speed is "lightning" quick! The only problem I have encountered and thus far it is rare and minor, is that the router will drop the internet connection for a few seconds once every two ro three days. Otherwise I am very pleased with it and the new technology. I am also confident that when the new N technology comes out next year that it will be backward compatable with Draft-n, Pre-N, G, B and A.

From what I have heard. Draft-N hardware won't be very much different, and should require a simple software upgrade to N-spec.
