Inspiron 9200 Monitor defect - Solution?

Question

My Inspiron 9200 Laptop monitor has suddenly developed 5 vertical lines of various colors. My primary question is: Is this problem so serious and expensive to fix that I should simply be looking for another computer?? My fear is that this assumption is correct.   Jimmos

It sounds like your LCD panel may be dying. Expensive only if you're no longer in warranty.
