Could you please provide some additional details. The battery is covered for 1 year. That warranty should cover any problem that is not caused by abuse of the battery.
If you would add your Service Tag number to your profile, it would allow me to look up your service history. The Service Tag number in your profile can only be viewed by Dell Community Forum staff.
Well Rollie, it's nice that you have taken an interest. I have added my service tag so you can review my complaint. Despite the warranty being advertised as 1-year (multiple times on the Dell web site), I have used chat, telephone, and email communications to try to resolve my issue. Every other time I am told there is a 1-year warranty, then sometimes I am told that there is only a 3 month warranty. The point is I bought the same product as someone who got the one year warranty, and my battery is JUNK. You should back a product, not scheme to get more warranty money. I paid for the upgrade to get a 6-cell battery, and now the cheaper 4-cell battery that is 2 months older lasts longer than the 6-cell! Does that seem right to anyone?
There is a field in your profile for the Service Tag number. When I looked at your profile this morning that field is still blank.
Dell sold systems for a time with 90 day warranties. If you purchased a 90 day warranty, then your battery would only be warranted for 90 days.
Extended warranties, beyond one year, do not extend the battery warranty beyond one year. However, if your system is out of warranty, that also includes the battery.
I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.
