Dell Latitude D600 to VPN to Server problems!

Question

I'm having problems with the following connection and it appears to be related to a setting or feature within the Dell D600 box.    Dell D600 ---> Company Intra-net ----> Proxy server/Internet ----> VPN Server -----> Application server within Company   When I try to connect to this Application server from within my companies LAN...everything works fine....I am unable to connect using the VPN connection from the internet.  This would lead us to believe it is an issue with the VPN side of the house.  Problem is, i'm able to connect with another system/laptop via the VPN to the application server just fine.  I also have co-workers with the same D600 system that are displaying the same troubles.    The one thing I have noticed is that I get allot of dropped TCP packets when trying to connect via the VPN.  I've also tried the following...and i am able to ping the application server via the VPN...just can't get into the graphical view.    disabling all firewall/anti-virus disabled any add-on software added IP address to trusted site updated all drivers and software that is vital in the VPN/internet connection updated BIOS Any ideas?

oops...not gonna work...we use secure token ID's in order to authenticate...theirs no way to build this into the XP VPN connection

Not going to work...it is a piece of software that I cannot share with the rest of you.
