No, haven't tried that.  Didn't know you could do that with a laptop.

Nope, no beeps.  I'll verify for sure here in a few minutes, but I'm sure there are no beeps.

If your unit is out of warranty...How about the Latitude D620?

If the hardrive is the problem then you could replace it.Hardrives last for 4 years.

Definitely will try that.  Thanks for the tip.  Although since the hard drive isn't spinning/running in it, I'm sure that's not completely the problem.

Thanks again!

Is there a VGA blue port on the back of your unit?

You should be able to connect to a monitor and see what happens.

Well no beeps is a bit of a good sign.

So nothing happens when you switch it on? Have you tried it on a different monitor?

Probally there will be no point in repairing the unit.

I guess "your hubs" means "your hubby". I was trying to picture what kind ofa hub you have connected to your computer and how that might fit into the picture!

Try the check suggested about another video monitor. Eliminate that possibility first before you do anything else.

Just out of curiosity, how'd you get your Inspiron to quit eating mem sticks?  Anyway, tried that on my end and that didn't help.  I think it's terminal.

Thanks for the tip, though!

Yep, sorry...hubs is husband.  I should have explained that further.  Well, I'm guessing it is terminal.  Tried another monitor....nothing.  Tried removing the mem stick...nothing.

Thanks for all the tips everyone!
