Hi,

I also travel frequently to France  with I8600 and don't use any converter for voltage - I believe it can take up to 240V and it should be a standard for most well-known brands.  I do use converter for pluging into French power core if the one I used is not for international standards.

As far as if there are any adverse effects, I don't know.  I have had some minor problems since receiving the system but could not determined if they are related to this.  One thing's for sure, I never experienced any problems (knock 3 times) when I was in France without using any voltage converted.  The average stay is 10 days, so should be long enough to know if there's any.

Hope this helps.

Thanks xfile.  I will just pretend I didn't read what I read.  It probably is just a disclaimer for the company's protection.  It worked before so here goes again.

Hi BJ! All Dell adapters have AUTOVOLT feature, meaning it converts to whatever voltage a country uses.
That should not be a problem. Enjoy your travel.  :smileyvery-happy:
