Limited Connectivity / Wireless Router - Are you sick of these

Question

I have an Inspiron 6000 - and I'm a web person (not software or hardware) so I do have some skills. I set up our linksys wireless router. If I connect with any of our laptops (we have two for work), it works fine - we are getting awesome speed. If I try with my Dell Inspiron - I get Full connection but limited connectity. I did the IPConfig - it's releasing the ip but can not renew it. I tried the netsh winsock reset and still having problems. I am so frustrated that I'd like to throw the laptop out the window. ARGH! Any advice? I am resorting to using the wired connection in the basement (and there are spiders down there). Please help! ametraven

Alos check the Power management option on the card(s).

do you have an intel wireless card or a broadcom/dell true mobile wireless card?

if the dellTM/broadcom then get the latest drivers from dell. if the intel card, get the latest drivers from intel.com

what type of linksys router?

have you tried without encryption? have you tried with a static address?
