Dell E1505 Restore CDs - What kind are they?

Question

I'm going to reformat my E1505 when it arrives and install Linux (USe Win-XP? NO WAY!) but just in case I want to sell the system or go back to Windows, are those $35 restore disks: 1) Full-blown totally reformat the drive and reinstall everything like new or 2) Just access some hidden partition and reinstall from it. I'm hoping it's number 1. Well, I can just make an image copy of the virgin system and burn it onto a CD if I have to but for $35 I'd rather have a 'real' restore set.

the 'restore' cd is just a plain dell oem copy of xp without anything else included.

If the system is under warranty, you can request the discs for F R E E ! Isnt that great!

Isnt this new PC going to have the mirror image of the hardrive by Ghost learking in the background anyways? Or, is that not partitioned? Just a thought, Dez

If you get an Inspiron or Dimension with Symantec restore and you don't mess up the restore partition you can make it like new from factory with the CTRL F11 restore procedure.
