Hotkey Function Escape to suspend is not functioning

Question

Running Windows Xp pro with dell quickset all other hotkey functions work i.e. hibernation, battery check, cd eject, wireless only function escape does not respond running latest BIOS A08 is it a quickset error? or maybe a BIOS error?

Make sure you don't have any program that prevents sleep mode : When Bitcomet is open on mine, it won't sleep. As soon as I close it, it can.
