2007WFP @ 1440x900 (or other 16:10 res')

Question

My GPU in my PC isn't necessarily the best at handling 1680 with acceptable (to me) framerate performance. I have tried adding 1440x900 as a custom resolution with my Nvidia graphics card, but I always get an error that says, 'custom resolution cannot be added.' Is it possible for me to run at lower 16:10 resolutions with this monitor? If so, what's the culprit here that's preventing me? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Other than this small nuisance I am loving this monitor, though.

What nvidia card is it? cpu? Which game? Try here as they usually have a fix for the majority of w/s games. http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/   Some fixes are .ini editing, others have programs such as 'morrowind optimiser' in which you can set the res. that you want.   cheers

So far I've tried to run 1440x900 on Battlefield 2142 (using command line) and also through WinXP's desktop. No games allow me to choose that resolution. BF crashes and on WinXP I get the following error:

lushious I still would highly recommend going to wide sceen gaming url I gave you above. The membership is free & just about all games res. problems have been solved or workd around by the forum members. If you can't see an answer to your problem, just ask & they will help you. cheers
