If you get it back this time, ask for a replacement notebook

It's not an unreasonable request after having the notebook sent back for repairs 3 times.

If they agree they'll send you something equivalent or better.

THE ONLY CATCH IS THAT IT MUST BE UNDER WARRANTY WHILE THESE ISSUES OCCUR

how much did it cost for you to send in your laptop? Did they want you to send in the entire thing? or just the motherboard itself. I'm having a problem with the connection for the power cord and was told I needed a new motherboard. I pulled it apart and tried to resolder it but it didnt seem to help the cause too much.

lmk how much it was!

currently everything is under warranty. My warranty runs out in about a month. As far as cost, since it is under warranty it is totally paid for by them. When I talked to the technical support they told me to call customer care and explain waht happened.

well this story got even more interesting today. Dell called me today and said I needed to pay for a repair. I called them back and was horrified to find out that they wanted me to pay for a new LCD screen. Well I talked to a customer care rep and they referred me to a warranty manager. He is going to call me tommorrow to tell me what they can do. I am so highlty frustrated and about the whole situation.

Why would they want you to pay for an LCD ?

did you knowingly damage it somehow?

Thats the kicker for the whole thing. When I packed the computer in the box Dell sent for it, it had no crack. They also said that a key was missing from the keyboard, which was not missing before I packed it and sent it to Dell.
