Turn off the monitor, hold menu and + while turning on the monitor back until the led is green, then press - to enter service menu, turn off burnin mode, exit menu, problem solved. Don't adjust anything else in the service menu. I had this problem before but someone on this forum helped me, thanks to him.
It was refurbished Chris. It's a revision A02 and now i've got the power saving mode working i can't fault it, no dead or stuck pixels, no banding, just a pin sharp image.
afaik burn in mode is just a monitor test that cycles all of the colors over & over again. It is let run for a period (as in pc s) to see if any problems surface. Really a test of panel & components & possible reliability.
I have a 2407WFP I just received from Dell and it had this same exact issue. Fortunately I found this thread I was going to go balistic seeing that sequence over and over again. I guess they test the monitors at the factory and don't turn that feature off.
I hate to tell you this but this seems to happen almost without exception with refurbs. from what I have been reading for awhile on this forum.
edit: neonsoft. You stated that you received rev. A02 & it is almost perfect? Dell even recognises that this rev. still has problems. Well good for you.
cheers

Wow, thanks so much for this information. I've spent numerous sessions with technical support and just spent another 1.5 hours with them. They told me the monitor was working as specified. Never once did they bring up the things you suggested and sure enough, it fixed the problem.

Was your purchase a New or Refurbished puchase?
