Just a couple of thoughts.

1) have you installed the nvidia drivers for your video card?  The default windows driver may not work for the 2560x1600 resolution.

2) have you tried the second DVI out port?

Latest drivers installed.  When i use the 2nd port this situation does not occur, but the text is somewhat blurry, and photos look terrible.  When in the mode where the screen is "too small", the fonts are crisp and phptps appear normal.  From the specs I see the 7600 GT has a dual DVI port.

I would uninstall your v/drivers by using this - http://www.drivercleaner.net/professional.php
The reinstall the drivers & see what happens.
The 7600gt is a good card & can do the resolution quite easily.
If you still have problems then set the monitor to manufacturers default settings.
Still in trouble then try another v/card just to prove if the v/card or monitor may be at fault.
After all of this you can decide what to do, or post back here again in this thread.
cheers

edit: one other thing you can try as well is to use the drivers that came with your v/card just to see again what happens.

Well, I plugged the monitor cable into the 2nd DVI position, kept the monitor off, waited 5 minutes, and it now works.  When I had done this before it didn't work, not sure why.  But running at max resolution. Hopefully, it will continue to work.  Thanks for the assistance,  Fred

Your card is not listed as one of the ones that will work with the 3007. Does it have a dual DVI connection? (not the same as 2 DVI connections). If not, it will only run monitor in lower (1280?) resolution.

All monitors that I know of use a single input dual dvi cable coming from a single dual dvi output from the v/card. Some cards have 2 dvi out but in some cases eg. fred only one works successfully which is stupid on the behalf of v/card manufacturers short sightedness imo..
I don't know about your quadro s, maybe ask the manuf. as these are a specialized v/card.
btw. Dell's list of tested v/cards is, same with other manuf., quite short & I would seriously doubt that cards such as yours would be on their list. This is even, given the fact that pro.s do use these monitors, that this monitor is suitable for pro. work esp. cad..
cheers

Manovo,

lists cards that work, but from this early summer..  Search forum for dual DVI and there are posts regarding the difference and how they look.  I just moved my connection from the one that did not work to the next one, and this one was obviously the dual DVI connection (didn't see it labeled as such and the instruction manual was worthless).  Does the manufacturers site have information on your card - should list if dual dvi capable (again different than dual dvi inputs (which is confusing).  Good luck.

Always try the other DVI out when trying to resolve display issues. :)
