Require some info on LCD screen replacement from DELL

My Laptop (Inspiron E1505) is approximately 5 months old. Unfortunate the LCD screen (15.4' WXGA) got cracked and I do not have accidental warranty. Dell quoted me for the replacement and told me that the new LCD would be a 'refurbished' one. I would like to know - 1. What Dell means by 'refurbished' ? Am I going to get a LCD which is as good as 5 months old ? 2. How the warranty goes for the LCD ? Is it the same with the laptop warranty or it is with the new LCD warranty. 4. Are the new LCDs sold at eBay also refurbished  or they are brand new ? 5. Can anyone please provide a link to get a used LCD from eBay ? Thanks !

1. All Dell service parts are labeled refurbished, whether or not they are.

2. The warranty will carry for 90 days or the remainder of the system warranty, whichever is longer.

4. Ask the seller; they could be either.

5. You'll have to search; they vary by the minute.

Thanks for your reply. Now I understand that they sell all the spares as 'Refurbished'. But still it would be great if you let me know what is actually meant by 'Refurbished' by Dell. This would help me in setting up my expectation and to decide whether I would spend such a huge amount for a 'used' part (?)
