Inspiron 8500: Dead System (just caps lock LED flashing once per second)

Hi, I am unsure where to get this troubleshooting informations... I try to turn on my 8500 notebook and all I get is flashing caps lock LED. Can someone please help! This is scary! THANKS :smileysad:

Reseat the RAM, drives, battery and any cards - check the AC adapter to be sure the power LED is on. Failing that, the system board is faulty.

Hi,   It still can be a memory fault. After a reseat, if you have 2 memory sticks try combinations of stick / socket.                                                                           Regards Chris
