No luck. Called back after reading this and though I bought my FP as an upgrade when I purchased my system it was sold as part of the bundle, not separately, so without a separate order number it is still under the warranty of the system. I guess I will just have to sit here and stare at it until it explodes.

Since I was persistent, I am getting a coupon for a sizeable amount off my next monitor purchase which will be something other than a Dell from the Dell store. If anyone has any recommendations in a 17" FP, please tell. Thanks.

Their never helpful phone support said it was not under warranty though I was told the same thing by a friend. Thank you very much for your help. I'll try speaking to them again though no one there seems to understand English anymore.

ruby vroom,

Send me the system order number in a private message.

Monitor purchased by itself on a Order Number
- 3 year warranty based off of the PPID number

Monitor purchased with a PC on the PC Service Tag Number
- 3 year warranty based off of the PPID number or the longer PC warranty

Monitor purchased from a reseller (Ebay, CostCo, etc.) with no Order Number or PC Service Tag Number
- 3 year warranty based off of the PPID number
