Basically they are saying that the product's warranty is expired so they cannot help me at all.
Question. I bought it on 7/9/2006, 4 months ago. How long is the warranty on this? 3 months?
Where does it say it?
What's warranty got to do with activation?
I just sent an email to Dell support. I hope they can shed some light on this.

this is a late reply, but if anyone is watching I email creative, explained the situation and what I had done and they sent me a new key. I will be careful to use it only when I absolutely need to. It's good for 4 reinstalls is what they told me. It took 2 weeks to get the key. And don't bother with Dell support, I tried phone and chat and they had no clue what I was talking about.
