Update - problem solved! Here's how I fixed it for others that may have the same problem.
Hook a USB hub to the Dell d/port, then plug the IOgear KVM USB into the hub. That's it! I used the Micro Innovations 4-port USB hub (only $16) and it works great.
I am experiecing the same problem with my D620 and the DPort. I also have the IOGEAR DVI KVM. Its funny, because i have the RGB version of the KVM at my cubicle and the problem doesnt exist.
I would try downgrading the BIOS from A07 to something lower like A06 or A05. I will try that and let you know the outcome.
I am unsure of what BIOS features I lose by downgrading though.
Man I've been messing around with this for a couple of years enabling and disabling my USB controller to get it to work (previously with a D600). I forgot my flat screen has a built in USB hub in it. It now works like a charm. Thanks.
