Chris, any updates on the BenQ conversations (regarding the 2407FWP)?

Hey mate, first of all I wanted to say that I reall appreciate what you are doing for us, the information you managed to gather was really helpful. Now I'm a rather unpleasent situationd: I recieved my second A03 2407FWP (Czech and I live in Holland) because the first one had banding, it's best visible when drawing you own gradients in photoshop or when picking a color in photoshop, moving the slider; you will see that the banding 'bends'. Anyway, I called Dell and I really am happy with the service, very helpful. I would get a new one, and I did, it's also the A03 version. But it has the same problem, banding (let alone the movie/gaming mode issues) AND it has a small spot on the left bottom side of the monitor that can't be removed (it's behind the protective layer). So I got 2 options: - return the monitor and get my money back (this has been confirmed) - or wait for a new revision (A04) that solves these problems. Now I'm wondering what BenQ is doing about these problems? Thnx, Thomas.

Suppose to be a better monitor than Dell, and many were waiting for it to come out so those that wanted a good working monitor without all the glitches and banding could look into the BenQ.

Wow...that's news to me. I knew that Dell contracted the manufacturing out to someone but I didn't know it was BenQ. So..who makes the 2007FPW?

allthefacts: why would a third A03 be different? The banding is not bas as an A02, but it's annoying for me since I use Photoshop a lot. Plus the Gaming and Multimedia modes are still messed up.

If I know that there will be an A04, I will keep the monitor, because I love the design. So I'm waiting for Chris to reply, so I can make up my mind.

Well this is it. I'm sending back the monitor to get my money back. Too bad. I might buy one if there is a A04 revision or a newer model maybe. Too bad. Good luck guys!
