Well, 88 minutes on the phone with support, and a new monitor is being shipped to me to try out. :)

Yep, I don't feel like I wasting Dell's time and money in any way at all. They said it will likely be here within a week and I'll post back for sure. After some more reading in these forums, I did see some other customers with the same issues.

Well, my new replacement monitor, another 2407WFP REV A03 arrived within the week as promised, and it works perfectly so far. Got the faulty original one all packaged up, and ready for shipment tomorrow back to DELL. It's nice and bright, and looks great.
