QME2462 fiber card in Poweredge 1955 blade

Question

Can anyone tell me whether the above card is related to the QLA2462 from Qlogic ? I cannot find any details on the QME2462 on either the qlogic or dell sites, and we need to confirm compatibility with our storage vendor.   thanks

From what I understand the chip on the card is similar to the QLA2462 or QLE2462. Qlogic is pretty good about just creating a single driver package for all their modern cards, so try either one (as they're likely to be the same driver package anyway).

The QME2462 (blade server) is similar to the QLE2462 (both being PCI express).  The same devcie driver is used for both HBAs.

Is that where the similarities end?  Is there any end-user documentation?  I can't seem to find anyone similar to the person above.    Thanks for any help you can offer...

The PE1855 and PE1955 blade servers can only have one Emulex or Qlogic HBA (dual port).  You can not install more than one physical HBA.

The only documentation that I am aware of is the Quick Start Guide that comes in the kits.  However, as mentioned, this HBA is very similar to the QLE2462.  Uses the same drivers as thr other Qlogic HBAs.    This adapter only changes the form factor for fitting into a blade server.

Can you have more that one HBA per PE1955 bladeserver? Is there a Qlogic or other HBA that allows more than one HBA? There isn't much room on the blade, once you open it up.
