R50830.EXE is the only Chipset Driver listed for the I5100, Inspiron 1100 and 5100 are listed under "Fixes and Enhancements" on the page accessed by the first link you provided, and on the page displayed when the link for "Applicable Systems" is selected.

 

It is quite possible, and seems most likely, that the contents of the R50830.EXE file were not properly updated to reflect applicability to the I5100 when the A02 version was released.
