Dual Monitor Display

Question

Hi,   I hope someone can help, I have a Dimension 9150 deskptop with a Ge Force 6800 256mb graphics card and have just purchased a Dell UltraSharp™ 2007WFP monitor, I already have Dell UltraSharp 1907FP monitor.   I want to connect both these monitors through the DVI connection through my graphics card, I have purchased a DVI splitter cable so I can connect both these monitors. The problem is that neither of these monitors display in their native resolution and I cannot extend the monitor display from one monitor to the other.  I cannot change the monitors resolution either. The monitors do work properly when I connect them induvidually to the DVI connection.   Hope someone can help   Tee

Tee_Nutter,

I do not believe that splitter will allow anything but a "clone" mode. You should connect one monitor to the DVI and the other to the VGA on the video card. Then, use the Nvidia control panel to extend the desktop.
