You may have a problem buying this card. I've read in the service manuals that some FCC reg prohibits the sale of an internal "A" device for user install. You can install the 1300 because it is b/g.
Look in your laptop manual to see if the warning is in there too. That may explain why you can buy the 1300 but not the 1400.
