Old Monitor + XPS 410

Question

Hey guys good thing Dell is going to let me change up some stuff from my order even though I'm supposed to get the XPS 410 tomorrow! They said I can just refuse the order and order another that would satisfy me! Best customer service :D Anyway, my question is, can I just use my old monitor from my Dimension 8200 and hook this up with the XPS 410? Reason is because I want to get the 20 inch Ultrasharp 2007FP Digital Flat Panel but I don't want to pay $360 for it just yet. Thanks! Richard BTW I was reading a couple of stuff on here about people who just upgraded from Dimension 8200 to XPS 410 and wow im so excited! I seriously cannot wait to get rid of this of !

I don't know what video card you ordered, I have the 7900GS it has (2) DVI connectors and no VGA connector. Dell did supply a DVI to VGA adapter, So I guess you can use your old monitor if it's VGA. and if it's DVI your good to go without using the adapter. I hope this helps. Tele2

no worries. even tho the 7900GS has two DVI connectors, it'll come with a DVI-VGA adapter.   yes you can use the old monitor on the 7900GS.
