How old is the "trial" version?  I think it runs out in 90 days and if you have passed the expiration date, that may be the problem.

The "trial" is on Microsoft's own website and so should not be out of date.

Oh, this is not one of the Dell pre-installed trial versions. 

 

You'll probably have to check with Microsoft to see what they need.
