Thank you ctalia4000 for the reply!  So I'm assuming that the seller provides you with the service tag and express service code when you purchase the monitor from them?  If so, then this seems like a heck of a deal when compared to ordering directly from DELL, around $100 dollars less and the peace of mind in knowing you are getting the latest revision.

What, if any, things should I be careful or concerned with when ordering something such as a DELL monitor from someone on Ebay?  Providing that you get the DELL warranty, there shouldn't be much to worry about correct?  Thanks in advance!

No.   There  is no Service Tag or Express service code number to a stand alone monitor.  You get the serial number, his identification and hopefully the order or customer number.

Thanks SR45 for clearing that up for me, I appreciate it!  So do you guys think the ebay route is the way to go or should I hold out for a month or so and try to play "DELL LOTTERY" again and hope I get the A04 revision?

If you do go the E-Bay route, make sure you know the sellers background as to his track record, and all information as to a transfer of warranty to you.    For me, I have never used E-Bay, too many horror stories, but there are many more success stories as well.  I normally wait for a good sales or coupon from Dell, than go that route.   Good luck no matter what you decide.
