question for display on XPS M1710

Question

Hello all,   Just wondering if there is a setting i can change that will allow me to up the brightness of my 'monitor' --- this only happens when i have the AC unplugged.  When the AC is plugged in the screen is wonderful.  But when i just use the battery, it kinda dims out. I am sure this is to save battery life.  So do any of you know if there is a way to up the brightness when using just the battery?   thanks for your help!

Just press the FN key and press the up arrow a couple times.

Ok i found the answer and thank you guys for your help.   but what i did was go into the BIOS by pressing F2 at start up and under power options I upped the max brightness for when the computer is run on the battery by itself...i am sure this will drain the battery much quicker but i like my screen bright!   also found the overclocking utility in their as well for my t7600g!   hope this helps
