Many changes could have taken place in the six weeks since we worked on your problem.
For now, make sure the IE Pop-up Blocker is not enabled. A window asking you to install updates may be trying to open, and you are blocking it.

Open IE 7.
1. Click the Tools menu
2. Click Pop-up Blocker
3. If already on, it will offer an option to Turn off Pop-up Blocker
4. Confirm by clicking the Yes button.
* Remember to enable it later on.

Also you may need to allow Active-X (click the bar at the top of IE7.)
In addition, be sure you are allowing access through your firewall.

If you still have problems either post a fresh HJT log as a new message, or post your issue on the XP board.

Thank you again.  Pop-up blocker was turned on and I shut off my firewall.  The message still comes up to shut down and restart for updates.  The first time I tried to log on to the site I clicked on the top of IE 7 and allowed Active X - since then all I get is the message to shut down for updates.

There are some Whale Client Components entries missing since we cleaned your computer in February.
Your recent log is missing these. We did not touch them when we cleaned your infections.
O10 - Unknown file in Winsock LSP: c:\progra~1\whalec~1\client~1\31265d~1.0\whlnsp.dll
O10 - Unknown file in Winsock LSP: c:\progra~1\whalec~1\client~1\31265d~1.0\whllsp.dll

We did not remove this entry, but I notice that it is no longer in your recent logs.
O16 - DPF: {8D9563A9-8D5F-459B-87F2-BA842255CB9A} (Whale Client Components) - https://www.notesathome.com/InternalSite/WhlCompMgr.cab
It is an active-x component that allows external code to be run on your computer.

You may need to reinstall the software from Whale Communications. Unfortunately, I cannot help you with that.

Thank you.  I removed the program and reinstalled it and it worked fine.
