I don't believe that the status monitor is available for Vista as of yet. I just tried installing it from the CD that came with the printer and it did not work. If you have your printer connected to the network, then you should be able to access its status from a web browser. Just type the IP address of the printer into the address bar of your browser and you should be able to access its settings. If you don't know if the printer is connected to the network, or you don't know the IP address of the printer, you can run a Printer Settings Report; this report should have the information on it. On the printer go to Menu->Configure->Reports->Printer Settings, then press enter. When the report prints, look for "IP Address" on the bottom left of the sheet. If there is no IP (you see 0. 0. 0. 0), then your printer is not on the network. If you do see an IP, type that address into your web browser.
Thanks for the information. I just tried it and it worked. Now I really don't see a reason to bother installing the software when it does come out with a Vista version. Thanks again.
