I don't know which I have because it is not listed under my product information. I've tried un-installing and re-installing both drivers, at separate times, and this has not rectified the problem.
P.S. woops. sorry, din't notice that you have no errors in Device manager ;-) So I suggest you remove the drivers anyway and find them new, and tell us what internet connection you have.
It is important to know whether the XP understands your network card or not. So you need to open Device manager and take a look there. If there are conflicts (!) then remove those devices and install them again, but this time with proper drivers.
Next thing to do would be to determine WHAT internet connection and thru what boxes (routers, modems, switches, etc.) you have there. For example Irish broadband usually gives you a static IP adress, so you need to write it in the TCP protocol. Eircom usually gives you a router/modem which is giving you IPs automaticaly. Describe your situation properly.
There are no errors in the device manager. However, the network card is not listed there. The drivers have been removed. The primary connection is through a LAN line at a university which is connected to a Linksys ethernet router. The router has been re-set and every other computer connected to the router is able to connect properly. The cord is not the problem as the same cord will allow other computers to access the internet.
I should also note that this problem began when my motherboard was replaced.
Windows doesn't find a network card, an unknown PCI device or a PCI comunication device. Driver extraction & re-installation doesn't fix the problem. I guess I have to send it in, then.
