Sharpness is grayed out using the DVI input on mine. This is normal. Look at the cable and see if its analog hook up ( blue cable ) not the white dvi cable ( digital )

Thanks for the reply. Yes, indeed, it is analog as this particular AIW card does not provide for a DVI connection (VGA only). What I found strange, though, are the accounts of some 2407 owners who are adjusting their sharpness settings. ???
Odd. The analog connection should give you the sharpness as shown on the User Guide for that monitor. Cannot explain this myself. Perhaps someone else or the Moderator may know. Good luck
Well, that's strange because according to the documentation, "Using the OSD in Setting Up Your Monitor", the sharpness setting *should* be available for both VGA and DVI-D inputs. The only difference I could discern between the two inputs is that AUTO ADJUST is only available when you're using VGA.
Auto adust and Contrast using DVI cannot be adusted. Nothing on Sharpness. Oh well, my 24 incher is OK but this is strange. Perhaps the Moderator may know some thing and weigh in on this later.... :smileysurprised:
Yes.....thanks, Chris! :) I think I *might* have the answer; certain settings (e.g., Wide Mode, Sharpness, Zoom) are grayed out when the display is running in its native resolution. When I switched to 1280 x 1024, all of the settings that were grayed out in 1920 x 1200, including sharpness, were available.
