can not use hotkey 'Fn+Esc=Standby'

Question

i have a notebook Inspiron 640m. i just re-install window xp. i install all driver. but, i can not use hotkey 'FN+Esc = Standby'. I downloaded 'chipset driver R114079' and install it. but it not support for inspriron 640m. How do i do?

Lovesickmissyou,   Did you install both the Notebook System Software and the Chipset driver?  Did you install Dell Quickset?  Did you get the settings under Power Options in the Control Panel?   These are the places I would start to correct the problem.
