How to get mouse pad scroll to work again

Hi

I have just formatted my hard drive and installed windows vista, i have gotten everything else working again but i cant get the scroll of the mouse pad to work anymore.  What i mean is the right hand edge and bottom of the pad that let you scroll up/ down and sideways.  Does anyone know how to get this working again?
